Human cardiomyocytes

The Murry Lab is dedicated to unraveling the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive cardiovascular disease with the ultimate goal of developing transformative treatments. Our work has focused on the biology of myocardial infarction and the processes by which the heart is repaired after injury. With a strong translational mission, our research emphasizes cell-based strategies for cardiac repair. Research spanning fundamental discovery science to advanced preclinical studies has demonstrated the therapeutic benefit of these strategies in diverse models of heart disease, paving the way for the translation of our research from bench to bedside.
